Crane Operator Accredited NCCER Testing

Safety directors and company owners: Do you have experienced crane operators who need to get certified and are apprehensive about the testing process?  It's a reality that for many organizations, your best and most experienced operator may be the person most likely to be nervous about the testing process because he or she has been out of school for so long, and is no longer accustomed to studying and taking tests.  We approach written testing as a process, rather than an event.  If an operator passes all of the tests on the first try, that's great!  But if they don't, we stick with them through the process.  For operators who need a written exam re-test our test preparation classes are completely free of charge the second time around.

We are approved by the NCCER, through our sponsorship by Crane Industry Services, to offer mobile training and testing, so for organizations with six or more operators to certify you might want to consider an onsite.  We'll come to your location, train your operators to pass the test, and deliver both their written and practical tests right there at your location.  We can even arrange special accommodations testing for an operator who needs to have the test questions read aloud.

For operators looking for a public test site, we currently offer the following locations:

Montpelier, VT: written exam site through our partnership with Associated General Contractors of Vermont at 1 Graves Street; practical exam site at Hutch Crane Service in Berlin

Portland, ME: written exam site at the Howard Johnson's South Portland at 675 Main Street; practical exam site at Northeast Crane Service in Scarborough, ME

Concord, NH: written and practical exam site at Associated Builders and Contractors of NH--VT in Concord, NH

Portsmouth, NH: written exam site at the Homewood Suites at 100 Portsmouth Blvd; practical exam site at Black Dog Diver's in Rye, NH

Burlington, VT: written exam site at 202 Commerce Street, Williston; practical exam site at DJ's Tree Service at 567 Depot Road in Colchester

We also do private, one-on-one practical training for inexperienced operators who need to get some seat time before their practical test.  See the "private training and consulting" page for details.
