- Certification and re-certification classes for NCCER operator certs at our Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire locations
- Certification and re-certification classes for NCCCO operator certs at Shawmut Equipment in South Easton, MA
- Beginning in the winter of 2020, five-day entry-level classes for boom truck operators that will include NCCER certification
- Customized Managing Crane Safety classes for construction managers and foremen on an onsite basis
- Two-day Qualified Lift Director program
- Customized overhead crane training programs for operators and riggers on an onsite basis
- Consulting services on an hourly basis to help you with new operator practical training
- Consulting services to help you set up your in-house operator evaluation program, or to conduct the evaluations for you, on an hourly basis

Your Location or Ours
Our public classes are held in locations throughout northern New England including Montpelier, Burlington, Concord, Portsmouth and Portland. We are also available for onsite classes and private consulting at your location anywhere in the U.S. throughout the year.
Our training classes are taught by experienced, NCCER- and NCCCO-certified crane operators who understand the practical realities and challenges of working safely and effectively on crane sites. Using a combination of instructor lectures, participant discussions, videotaped scenarios and hands-on practice, we go beyond the textbook and teach you what you really need to know, whether your focus is safety improvement, OSHA compliance or both.
Qualified Signal Person and Basic Rigging - Burlington
This full-day class includes:
- When is a signal person required?
- Crane dynamics
- Standard and non-standard hand signalling
- Radio signalling
- Factors that affect communication on crane and derrick construction sites
- Basic rigging techniques and calculations for different types of loads
- Rigging equipment inspection
- A written and practical signal test
- A written rigging test
- Qualification cards issued to all those who pass tests
- Those who do not pass tests invited back to a future class at no charge
- Pocket rigging guides included in class price

Jave
Jave was New England Crane School's longest-standing client. He worked on his boom truck certification for several years, but due to the unfortunate lack of opposable thumbs, he never passed his practical exam. He took advantage of our policy of allowing exam re-take candidates to attend future classes free of charge, however, and was often seen in the back of the classroom. He told us that it was the best thing about our operation, besides the crumbs that other students dropped on the floor from their lunches.
